Yarn Expo Autumn coming soon
Fancy Yarn The specialty textile yarn and fibre trade event Yarn Expo Autumn is set for 21 - 23 October 2008 at
the Shanghai International Convention Centre, Shanghai, China. Yarn Expo showcases yarn and fibre products from China and
around the world, including natural, manmade, speciality and fancy varieties.As an upstream segment of the production chain,
the yarn and fibre industry requires a specialised trade event and Yarn Expo provides a convenient and ideal location for
yarn and fibre producers to meet textile manufacturers directly. Yarn Expo Autumn 2007 attracted 3,700 visitors from 59
countries and regions.Fibre and yarn is in high demand in China, as textile producers continue record output. For example, in
the first three quarters of 2007, European imports of sliced polyester to China grew 140% while imports of wool and wool tops
doubled. Wool top imports from both Japan and the United States jumped more than 200%, while chemical fibres imports from
Australia grew 300%.Taking advantage of a major textile trade destination:During Yarn Expo, thousands of textile
manufacturers will be in Shanghai to attend Intertextile Shanghai Apparel Fabrics, one of the largest apparel textile trade
events in the world. Exhibitors at that show - more than 2,000 textile manufacturers - will find Yarn Expo a convenient
nearby destination for sourcing their yarns and fibres. A free shuttle bus will connect the two events.Yarn Expo features
natural fibres and yarns, including cotton, wool, silk and linen/ramie; regenerated and synthetic man-made fibres and yarns;
specialty products; elastic, fancy and blended yarns and computer-related services.Yarn Expo is organised by Messe Frankfurt
(HK) Ltd, the Sub-Council of Textile Industry - CCPIT, China Cotton Textile Association, China Wool Textile Association,
China Chemical Fibre Association, China Bast & Leaf Fibres Textiles Association, and China Textile Information Centre.
